Gö – Jühnde – Gö – August 27 2020 Road Ride

A few vibrant Sunflowers in amongst a host of those past their best is a clear sign that the summer is ending.

Although I do not feel the risk that I felt on the open roads of the UK, but today bad German driving was on display especially on the L559 into Jühnde where a few drivers were living out their inner Schumacher fantasies. One souped-up Mercedes almost lost control in front of me as he straight lined a corner, he managed to stay on the road with a screech of tyres. I had noticed his antics a good way ahead of me and I was ready to take avoiding action therefore he was more scared than I. His white knuckles no doubt will drag across the asphalt later.

Otherwise it was a nice ride out to Jühnde with some flowing fast descents and the roads early on I have ridden very seldom and so I needed a few reminders.

I am looking forward to riding next week the All Along the Watchtower Gravel route.

60km.
