Gö Feldeg Omloop 56km – March 24 2022 ´Road´Ride´

The majority of the ride was on Betonweg or mixed surface farm/forest roads and cycle paths closed to general motor traffic.

On this ride in my head, I was riding the Gent Wevelgem cycle race, but not at their pace!

This version of the Feldweg Omloop misses out the southern stages to Bisenhausen.

Bei dieser Fahrt in meinem Kopf fuhr ich das Radrennen Gent Wevelgem, aber nicht in ihrem Tempo!

Gent Wevelgem – March 27, 2022.

3 Gravel sectors (Ploegsteerts or ‘plug streets).

The race route features the fearsome Kemmelberg cobbled climb and three ‘dirt’ sections (Ploegsteerts or ‘plug streets, the latter pointing out the inability of Commonwealth soldiers to grasp hold of Flemish nuances in WW1).

On these dirt and cobbled roads lie many clusters of spent humanity on the fighting line through Belgium and France – We rode the Kemmelberg in 2013.

It´s a shame that the ´Plugstreets´ come early in the race and do not really mix up things.
