Gö-Strade Bianche ist eine Radtour (kein Rennen), in der die „weißen Straßen“ von Göttingen eine wesentliche Rolle spielen. Die Idee kam uns, weil uns, als Neu-Göttinger und hoffnungslose Radsport-Romantiker, die hiesigen Feldwege in ihrer sommerlichen Weiße an die legendären Strade Bianche der Toscana erinnerten. Also dachten wir uns, dass es ja nicht schaden könne, die Göttinger Umgebung mit dem Radel-Flair und Dolce Vita Italiens in Verbindung zu bringen. Wir hatten schon damit geliebäugelt, in einem Akt von „Guerilla-Gardening“ Säulenzypressen entlang der Route anzupflanzen, dies aber als unrealistisch verworfen. Die Gö-Strade Bianche-Tour dagegen ist definitiv im Bereich des Möglichen.

Sag uns Bescheid, wenn Du eine der Routen geradelt bist, und wir schicken Dir als Andenken eine Brevet-Karte.

Wir erwarten von euch nicht, dass ihr euch exakt an die hier vorgeschlagenen Route haltet, ihr bekommt eure Brevet-Karte, auch wenn ihr euch eigene Variationen ausdenkt.

Gö Strade Bianche Brevet Card

The Gö Strade Bianche is a non-competitive cycle tour featuring the white roads of Göttingen. The idea came to us because, as new Göttingers and hopeless cycle sport romantics, we felt that the summery white farm roads here were reminiscent of the legendary Strade Bianche of Tuscany. Therefor we thought that it would not do any harm to make a link between the Göttingen Gravel paths and Italian cycling flair ór Dolce Vita. We had originally also fantasised about planting Cypresses along the route as an act of guerrilla gardening, but this was deemed unrealistic. The Gö Strade Bianche, on the other hand, is achievable.

If you have ridden any of the routes, then get in touch and we will send you a Brevet card as a memento.

We do not expect you to follow the route religiously, if you decide to create variations on the theme, we will still send you a Brevet card.

The Brevet card is free of charge, but you may want to donate a Euro to a worthy cause of your own choosing.
