Lost and Found – June 8 2020 Road/Gravel Ride

I lost my silk Rapha neckerchief on my Sunday ride and this was a real shame because it was a present from Rapha given over ten years ago.

Following the idea that ´fortune favours the brave´ I set out on Monday evening to ride the same route more in hope of finding it than any sense of being successful.

Guess what, I found it!

My hunt was in fact a cool ride with a mix of gravel and road ridden on my road/gravel machine. Its skinny slick tyres and road angles adding to the fun over the loose stuff. After my success I added a few sections of gravel taking me past the Friedland Station now a museum marking its role as a refugee transit camp after World War Two.

I also noticed a bit of flotsam from Covid-19 when I came across another discarded mask. Was it a conscious act of littering or someone who had simply lost a mask? Like I did a little while ago.

45km.
