I had cleaned my bike to perfection and after one ride I was back to square one!

This is the longer 66km (11 km more) version of the Gutingi Strade Bianche ride ridden in homage to one of the best road races on the calendar and it follows the presently off-colour white roads of Göttingen.

An extra section at Friedland adds more gravel sectors and a glorious tarmac, steady climb through Ludolfhausen. Then it´s a screaming descent on a roller coaster like and immaculate road before we pop-back onto the gravel (red in colour here) to pick up the original ride at Ballenhausen.

I could feel my recent cold in my legs and each time I turned into a cold strong wind they felt very heavy. Otherwise it was a day of showers and sunshine.
