I haven´t been on a road ride for some time.

Canned Heat are not one of my favourite 60/70s bands (I am more of a Buffalo Springfield person) and I have no idea why their song ´On the Road Again ‘ switched on in my head. I was humming it throughout and I could also add ´Going Up to the Country´ to my ride playlist.

I can still feel whatever the infection I got in April in my chest and legs, but with the sun shining and the roads wonderfully empty It felt like heaven to be out.

I even wore my favourite white road shoes, my white Look Mum No Hands socks and I was able to discard my leg warmers early on.

I popped across the old internal border and spotted a section of Kolonnenweg.

Near ride end I included a short section of gravel just because I can´t help it.
