A page featuring galleries and links for cycle tours undertaken during March 2025.
I ride regularly, and I do not necessarily post a web page for each tour I do.
I do post to Facebook, Garmin Connect, Strava and occasionally to Komoot and Instagram.

Riding up that Hill in Gö – March 27 2025

To misquote Kate Bush
“And if I only could
I’d make a deal with God
And I’d get Him to swap our places
Be riding’ up that road”.
I finally felt strong enough to ride hills and I watched my HRM with interest, all was good!
The road tour (+ 3 gravel sectors) included two of my favourite descents in the area.

Fruhling in Gö – March 20 2025

The Spring Solstice is here, goodbye winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A ride to test my heart, to think about life, death and the universe.
Welsh poet (the land also of my mother´s family) Dylan Thomas wrote in 1947 arguing that we should not easily accept the inevitable fate of death – “Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”
The wonderful spring sunshine day I enjoyed I dedicate to a friend who did rage and who was a charming libertine.

Gö Roadie Strade Bianche Omloop – March 15 2025

Sectors of gravel intermingled with car free Feldweg Asphalt, simply me having fun on skinny tyres.
I did feel a little lonely.

Roadie Chemin Blanc in Gö – March 12 2025

When I first arrived in Göttingen I rode the gravel and feldweg on a road bike and some of it was gnarly.
It is my way; I have always found a non-paved path alluring forcing me to take skinny tyres off asphalt.
Today I recalled my early days on the white roads of Gö riding roadie style upon a mix of asphalt and Strade Bianche, Chemon Blanc, Grusvej, Ribinou, Schotter, and weiße Straßen.
The following links include some road bike friendly gravel.

Heaven in Gö – March 9 2025

A week previously my Saturday had started well until a sorcerer of sorts, a professor of cardiology rang and pulled the rug from under my feet. I subsequently presented myself at a hospital because as he melodramatically said there was ´ danger of death´.
My previously fitted stent is perfect, and now I have a second and with two fully open-heart arteries I should have gained a few watts!
The sun was shining on my first ride since and I was in heaven and not hell, fantastic.
