Skinny Slicks in Gö – February 27 2025
The classic and semi-classic season begins on March 1 with Omloop het Nieuwsblad formerly Het Volk and I celebrated by riding my feldweg bike kitted out with slicks.
I avoided the mud, including three cobbled and two benign gravel sectors, otherwise it was asphalt most of the ride.

Gö Gravel Ausfahrt– February 24 2025
The 17th Monday informal social ride of Herbst and winter.
Not the warmth of the weekend, but the daylight hours are getting longer, and it only rained a little bit, nothing to dampen our spirits.
We had a taste of the mud season or also referred in hushed tones as; Rospuutto in Eastern Finland, in Russia as Rasputitsa. In Sweden they use Menföre or in other parts of Finland there is Kelirikko, in New England it is called the Filth Season, and in Ukraine Bezdorizhzhia.
Being positive Belgian mire is also a chocolate mud cake, and we ride for the Love of Mud… and cake.

Spring has Sprung in Gö – February 22 2024
I like to think that the rise in temperature from minus 11 to plus 16n in a few days has something to do with all of us poor souls who had fevers because of a myriad of nasty winter bugs making us ill and raising the ambient heat.
A few years ago, we jumped from minus 24 to plus 14 in a short time also in February.
It will probably snow tomorrow…

Gö Gravel Wochenend Ausfahrt – February 9 2025
The first Gö Gravel informal social weekend ride of the year and we avoided icy puddles and frozen mud.
Very social.

The 15th Monday informal social ride of Herbst and winter. A super cold night ride after a glorious red sky sunset, flying through the darkened villages we kept from freezing by our group warmth.

Sun and Cold in Gö – February 2 2025
Sunshine on a frosty landscape is a wonderous thing, and we rode as if we had not a care in the world.
