It was great to meet up with Gunnar, Helmfried and Josh at the velodrome to ride the Strade Bianche de Guthingi.
Sadly, Gunnar had to leave us early on as we three continued onward. Both Josh and Helmfried are a mine of local information and I think Helmfried is right to rename the ride the Gutingi Strade Bianche reflecting the city´s old name. It sounds Italian as well.
Late in the ride we could see rain crossing the valley and this did catch us, but I was having such fun that even at its peak it wasn´t unpleasant.
