After a week off the bike because of a cold it was great to be back on the road, well, on and off road.
This first ride of December was a reconnaissance for a cunning plan we are hatching and thus there were lots of stops to take pictures and time lost as new roads and gravel trails were explored.
I started at the velodrome and mixed tarmac, concrete farm roads and gravel looking for anything suitable for a winter ride with not so much heavy mud and what can be ridden on a beefed-up road bike or a cyclo cross and gravel machine.
