Buying Cat Food Part 4 – February 28 2020 Gravel/Road Ride

I long ago realised, as the wonderful Slits punk band said, that I am a “Weekend Warrior, Bread and Butter Hunter” thus I tend to find my modest pleasures close to home etc…

So, having been off the bike for over a week we turned once more a trip to buy cat food into a mini adventure. We followed a drunken crow from house to shop to house via some nice gravel and just a small number of public roads.

In the past buying cat food has seen us investigate lost castles, visited villages and checked out the graves of nine Nobel Laureates plus paying our respects to those lying in the mass graves from WW1 & 2. Today, we just bought cat food and simply enjoyed the ride.

What was of note is that the Leine River is very full, and the normally dry flood run off canal is full of water cascading fast over the concrete channels. The heavy rain falls of late is a blessing (and I was off the bike) for the water supply and the forests.

This ride is dedicated to all who cannot ride at this time or who have had to hang up their wheels.
