The plan was to have been to meet Bernd Kaminski in nearby Moringen but German railways once more didn´t play nice and his train was so badly delayed he had to go home.
With the sun shining and all set to ride we decided to do a wee bit more reconnaissance for Gö Strade Bianche and of course to simply enjoy pedalling in bright weather.

Wind! – December 8 2019 Road/Gravel Ride
(A few days before December 10 we had begun the same ride only for a strong wind to cut it short)
When we moved to the Leine Valley it became clear that there was a lot of wind to be had here and I rarely ride with my deep section rims anymore.
Today we rode for 15 kilometres into an evil head wind on what we had intended to be a reconnaissance ride seeking out more gravel sections for Gö Strada Bianche.
It wasn’t much fun although we raised a laugh when we stopped to think about it and to eat a banana as the local Tuspo cycling club chain gang rode by – we put out our thumbs for a lift.
We decided to turn back and this meant we now had a 25kph wind at our backs which was great fun. We paid in and got something out.
30 plus kilometres is still good.
